Happy New Year! From Past to Present

Another Christmas has come and gone...

Hopefully everyone had a wonderful time and created lots of new memories

This week, as the year draws to an end and a new one fast approaches, many of us reflect on the past year and search for resolutions to ring in new beginnings. I'm also thinking about goals for the new year, as I reach for that last delightful lemon square, I vow it to be my last this year, before starting my exercise routine and
going back to eating healthier...
LOL.
Thinking about goals I'd like to achieve in different areas of my life, such as many of us do.
A big part of my business goals are buying trips to refresh the store with new merchandise.

The building our store occupies has so much character! Having been built using materials from an old church, make it one of a kind.

Trying to keep the character of the building while bringing in the latest trends in fashion, is a continuous process. I am always looking for unusual props to help display product in interesting and creative ways.
Vintage Hollywood Glamour is the theme in our main clothing room.

Can recognize all the actresses and actors that adorn the walls? Antique jewelry cases, highlight beautiful jewelry at the front of our shop. Always mindful to keep a delicate balance of the beauty of the past with trends of the present

A good time to reminisce on a few favorite things from the past.

Displaying jewelry in old teacups, and trinket trays give it a vintage charm...

Old hat boxes are some of my favorite collectibles. I can only imagine the beautiful hats they once stored.

Although I wasn't around when many of these items came to be, I can still appreciate their beauty and the stories the must hold.

I do still remember John Wanamakers in Philadelphia and their beautiful lights at Christmas.

Old books and travel journals of Europe with vintage linens tucked her and there

An old vogue pattern featuring a beret, decorate one of the buildings old beams!

One of my very favorites is this old Hope Chest,

Can you only imagine all the treasures it has held over the years?

I hope you're enjoying this trip down memory lane.
Old postcards, letters, photos, jewel boxes, linens and buttons are strewn about displays.

Old mirrors reflect images of the new merchandise.

Some of these items may bring back memories from a time forgotten, or remind us of someone special who we can relate the memories to.

What are some of your favorite nostalgia items, and the memories associated with them?
Please leave a comment below and
share some memories....
